Excess Solder Wicking Up Into Sockets

Excess solder wicked up into the sockets of this connector. This was due to the improper application of excess solder applied by hand during rework. Arrows on Fig-1 illustrate leads soldered to board surface and socket cross-section on female connector. Fig 2 shows Solder wicking into connector sockets indicated with arrows. Note: gold plated metal is contact in socket.
